Course Objectives

• Revisit and enhance four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) learned from previous Chinese studies in the contexts of Weather, Dining, Asking Directions, Party, and Seeing a Doctor.
• Develop and extend four communicative skills in the contexts of Dating, Renting an Apartment, Sports, Transportation & Travel, and At the Airport.
• Continue to develop Chinese cultural understanding and practices within the above-mentioned contexts.
• Develop instincts of decoding and reading comprehension by proficient in Chinese characters etymology and idioms.
