NEW EVENTS 

The Hypnotist is postponed for TONIGHT, Friday, March 31. It is rescheduled for next Friday, April 7.

Principal Parent coffee for April has been postponed. 

The English Department is sponsoring its annual Paula Sirois Poetry Contest.  Everyone is welcome to submit 2 – 3 poems.  Please write your name, YOG and English teacher’s name on a separate piece of paper and submit your poems to Ms. Peterson in Room 315.  Deadline for submission TODAY Friday, March 31.   

The Concord Carlisle Dance Crew is performing their annual show CC Fights Back TONIGHT Friday, March 31 in the auditorium at 8 pm. The tickets are free for students and $10 for other community members. The show is right after the hypnotist so may as well stick around! All proceeds from the show will go to Artists for Humanity. See you there!

Parents Association April Meeting  The CCHS PA will meet on Monday, April 3 at 9am in CCHS Learning Commons room 242.  We will discuss upcoming events and planning for the 2017-2018 year.  All are invited to attend.

Reminder to all students:  Please check your class attendance on Aspen and clear up any unexcused class absences before the end of the quarter to avoid credit reduction on your Qtr. 3 report card.  Please see Mrs. Merry, in the main office, with any questions.

Attention, juniors and sophomores:  Did you have a positive experience in your freshman advisory? Are you a confident leader, eager to help next year’s freshmen transition to CCHS?  Then apply to become a freshman advisory leader!!  We are currently seeking students to participate in next year’s freshman advisory program. You will work alongside another student and a faculty leader to support and guide members of the freshman class through their first year at CCHS. CCHS Later Start Time Public Forum The Concord-Carlisle Regional School Committee invites you to a Public Forum to discuss the initiative to move the high school start time to 8:00 AM.  The forum will be held Tuesday, April 4 from 7:00-8:30 PM in the CCHS Learning Commons.  Please join us to learn about the initiative, discuss the logistics and challenges of implementation, ask questions, and share input. The Learning Commons will be having Fun Week starting April 3-7.  There will be activities played during D, E and F block lunches in Room 242. Come in and join the fun. Prizes will be awarded to the winners.

High School volunteers needed for Concord Recreation Egg Hunt on April 14. Volunteers needed 4:15-6:45 pm to spread 20,000 eggs assist the children in collecting the eggs and help with clean up. Student volunteer needed to wear the Concord Recreation camp mascot costume as well. Interested volunteers should contact Patti Doherty at 978-318-3045 or preferably email at pdoherty@concordma.gov

The Concord Youth Theatre Teen Company including CCHS students Abby Bohn, Lauren Gardner, Cam Hegarty, Lowell Hutchinson, Sophia Larew and Willie Page will perform a series of one-act plays. Come see these talented high school actors perform an entertaining series of one-acts!  Performances are April 6, 7, 8 at 7:30April 9 at 2:30. Tickets are $15 each and can be purchased online at www.concordyouththeatre.org. Appropriate for ages 10 and up. 

Annual CCHS Lacrosse Spring Clean Up  – Saturday, April 29, CCHS Lacrosse players will rake, haul, spread mulch and perform light yard work for residents of Concord and Carlisle.  Only $20 per player, per hour and all proceeds go to the CCHS Lacrosse program.  Work crews run from 9 am – 1 pm, with a minimum of 2 players.  This is our only fundraiser and it sells out, so reserve your crew today!   Sign Up Here

COMMUNITY EVENTS

The Concord Free Public Library will hold its first Technology Fair on Saturday, April 1 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. at the Fowler Branch Library at 1322 Main Street, Concord. Demonstrations will include digital resources and other technologies, such as the library’s new website, 3D printer, streaming and downloadable media, online research tools, S.T.E.A.M. resources, wireless hotspot devices, a telescope, and more. Summer Camp Scholarships: There are scholarship opportunities for summer camp and summer extracurricular activities for Concord and Carlisle youth ages toddler to young adult.
