NEW EVENTS

Join the English Department in celebrating Black History in a “Read-in” during lunch blocks the Tuesday, February 28. We will read Ta-Nehisi Coates’s “Letter to My Son” from Between the World and Me. “Letter to My Son” is an amazing piece of writing that explores what it can mean to be Black and Male in America today, and how that experience has been shaped by American history. To participate, see your CCHS email for a link to the article. Read it over break and then come to room 247 in the library on Tuesday, February 28 D, E, or F block to discuss!

Do you know what’s better than listening to awesome live music from CCHS students? Listening to awesome live music from CCHS students for only 5 dollars! And the only place you can get that good of a deal is at WIQH’s IqhFest. Come hang out with friends and enjoy 15 bands play the night away on March 4, starting at 7pm. You won’t want to miss it!

Please support the Red Cross Club with their “Troop Care Supply Drive.” Your donations will help the Hanscom AFB troops that are overseas. The donation box can be found in the main lobby. Your donations are greatly appreciated. COMMUNITY EVENTS

Patriot Hoop Clinics will host a 3-day February Vacation Jam at Concord-Carlisle High School on February 21 – 23. Register here: Patriot Hoop Clinics February Vacation Jam Clinics run from 9:00 -11:45 daily and are $35 per day or $100 for all three days for boys in grades 3-8.  Register to hold your spot and then pay at the door. Checks payable to Patriot Basketball, Inc.

Join in on the fun and listen to talented high school and college a cappella groups at the EmerSong a cappella festival on Saturday, March 4, 7:00 pm at Kerem Shalom in Concord.  Presented by the Auxiliary of Emerson Hospital, EmerSong is family-friendly and will feature cabaret style seating, tapas and desserts and lots of fun!  Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at www.emersonhospital.org/Emersong or by calling (978)287-8765.  All proceeds benefit an exercise-based program for the recovery from substance misuse.
