Juniors and SophomoresRegistration for the PSATs is now available. We are using a new registration service this year, Total Registration, which can be found at this link. The PSAT registration fee will be $35. Please follow the directions online for payment information and do not send payments to the school.  Please keep in mind that, should you qualify for them, any testing accommodations need to be applied for with Mr. Rudmann in the Guidance Office. Should you fail to apply with Mr. Rudmann you will not be receiving any testing accommodations at the time of the exam. Registration will close at 10:00 PM on September 19th. The Spectrum Club is having a pizza party welcome reception on TODAY, September 8 in the Learning Commons Lobby.  Come and join us!  In our club, we provide a safe space to talk about LGBTQ+ issues.  All are welcome to join–bring a friend!

Plan and build the new CCHS garden! Are you interested in growing organic fruits and vegetables, farming, garden design and sustainability??? Come to the first meeting of WEEDS, the organic gardening club, THIS TODAY, September 8 in Room 435 from 2:20-3:00.

YOG 2017-Senior Post Secondary Planning Program On TONIGHT, September 8 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m.  The post-secondary planning session scheduled for seniors and their parents will take place in the CCHS Auditorium. At this meeting members of the Guidance & Counseling Department will provide information on the following subjects: applications, time lines, applying early, transcript procedures and interviews/visits. A very informative and important meeting to attend.

CCHS Environmental Field Studies Group meets Fridays 2:15-3:45 in room 436 and outdoors.  Make new friends while enjoying and learning about nature.  All are welcome!  Snacks provided!

Due to inclement weather, the Tennis Club will meet this week on Friday, 9/9 on the CCHS Courts from 2:45-4:15pm. Bring a racquet, outdoor clothing, and hydration. Please email me (aspence@concordcarlisle.org) if you plan to attend Friday’s Tennis Club. Calling All Freshmen!  The class of 2020 is invited to a CCHS Freshman-only social on Friday, September 9th from 7:30 to 10pm.  This annual tradition is a great opportunity for the students to reconnect with friends and meet new classmates as the year kicks off.  Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door.  Purchase advance tickets at: https://cchs-endlesssummer-2016.eventbrite.com

2Volunteer is a community based organization partnering with CCHS to help students learn the value and importance of service to others. We hope to facilitate the best possible match between students and community organizations, affording the most meaningful experience for all involved. We also help encourage and reward students who dedicate their time and energy to helping others. COMMUNITY EVENTS

Come cheer on the Patriots at their home-opening football game, September 9 at 6:00 pm (note the early start time!) at Memorial Stadium!  While you’re there, celebrate The Scholarship Fund of Concord and Carlisle’s 50tTH anniversary of helping students to attend college by buying tickets to the 50/50 raffle. Raffle pricing will be $1 for 1 ticket, $5 for 6 tickets and $10 for 15 tickets. Concord Conservatory of Music Enrolling for Private Lessons, Group Classes, and Ensembles
Registration for the fall semester private lessons, ensembles, and group classes is underway at The Concord Conservatory of Music.  CCM offers private lessons for trumpet, woodwinds, strings, piano, guitar, voice, and percussion.  To start the process as a private student, you can submit a form here, or call 978-369-0010.  Teens and adults can also take group classes in ukulele, voice, hand drumming, and piano.   Space is limited.  Come to CCM’s Adult Open House, on Thursday, September 8th, 5:00 – 7:00 PM to meet the faculty, try an instrument, and register.  To learn more, go to www.ConcordConservatory.org, or call 978-36-0010.  CCM is located at 1317 Main Street, Concord.  Financial assistance is available.

Concord Public Safety Open House – On Saturday, September 10th from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM, the Concord Police & Fire Departments will be having an open house. Please come by and tour the Concord Police & Fire Departments, meet our Police Officers and Firefighters, and see the equipment that they use on a daily basis (police cruisers & fire trucks). There will be car seat installations/safety checks, equipment demonstrations, informational flyers, and an ice cream truck (free ice cream). Hope to see you there! Location: Public Safety Building, 219 Walden Street.

After School Music Lessons Fall session starts next week: Individual music lessons with the Instrumental Music School of Carlisle and Concord. IMSCC offers individual instrumental and vocal lessons after school and evenings as part of the Community Education department.
