CCHS PA General Meeting – The CCHS Parents Association will meet Monday, May 2 at 9:30am at CCHS in room 242 (Learning Commons). The meeting agenda can be found at http://www.cchspa.org. All PA members are invited to attended.

AP Testing: All students taking AP exams, check CCHS Student News for important information about exam room locations, what to bring to exams, when to arrive, and attendance. Contact Ms. Fischer with any questions.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION for Class of 2016: All scholarships have specific requirements so please read them carefully. If they need a transcript or letter of recommendation please request them from Mrs. Tessari ASAP.

CCPOPS (Concord-Carlisle Patrons of Performing Students)-CCPOPs annually awards scholarships to graduating seniors in good academic standing who have significantly contributed to the performing arts program at CCHS over his/her four years by singing in chorus, performing in band or orchestra, dancing in dance club, or involvement in theater as an actor, backstage tech worker, or pit orchestra member. This year CCPOPs will award three $350 scholarships. Completed applications must be returned to Ms. MacHaffie in guidance by the May 2, 2016 deadline. Acton Toyota of Littleton Scholarship: Acton Toyota of Littleton, in conjunction with Toyota Motor Sales USA, wishes to award two $2,000 charitable scholarship donation to two deserving graduating high school senior student who has been accepted and plans to attend an accredited college or university. The dealership seeks to reward two senior students who has demonstrated real leadership qualities in: (a) the community,(b) the classroom/school, or (c) the athletic field. Students must complete an application form and write a 2-3 page essay documenting their achievements and/or contributions in any one of these three areas. All students must turn in their applications and essay no later than Friday, May 6th to Mrs. MacHaffie in the Guidance Office. Click for application

ALL PROM-GOERS AND PARENTS OF PROM-GOERS – TUXEDO RENTALS WHAT: Formalwear Ltd of Waltham will be providing tuxedo rentals for Prom 2016. Tuxedo styles will be available for a total cost of $100 (formal shoes are $25 extra). WHEN: Fittings will be held in the cafeteria Thursday, May 5, during all lunch blocks. PAYMENT: All major credit cards, cash, or check will be accepted. HOW: Tuxedos will be delivered to school on May 12, and must be returned to school on Monday, May 16. BONUS: If you prefer to go to the store to be fitted, your tux will be delivered to and picked up from school. Car Wash for Girls Lacrosse: The CCHS girls lacrosse teams and Friends of Concord Carlisle Girls Lacrosse are sponsoring a CAR WASH at Crosby’s Market this Saturday May 7th from 10 AM to 3 PM, (rain date Sunday May 8th from 10 AM to 3 PM) to raise money for all three of our girls lacrosse teams. There will also be the CC Lacrosse hats for sale ($20 each). Please stop by to support the teams. Go CCHS Lax!

Volunteer coordinator – this person will be the liaison to make sure people who volunteer to help will get all the information they need (logins, contact info, etc.) maintain a “database” (list) of people who wish to volunteer on an ad hoc basis and will contact them when a need arises. This is a great job for someone with some technical skill (email, signup genius, Eventbrite) who needs flexibility in volunteering as the job can be done at home, in the evening, or whenever they have time. The time commitment will be a few hours a month.

Google drive administrator – this person will maintain the cchspa.org google drive and will be responsible for adding new users and user support as required. This is a great job for someone with good technical skills (Google Drive experience) who needs flexibility in volunteering as the job can be done at home, in the evening, or whenever. The time commitment would be a couple hours a month, with more hours at the start of the year.

CCHS Driver Education The Spring after-school class starts Thursday, May 5, 2:15-4:15, and meets Monday-Wednesday-Thursday through June 9. Students must be 15 years 9 months of age to begin. The required Parent Class should be taken early in the process of preparation for a Junior Operator license. The two hour course is offered each month, with upcoming courses on April 25, May 24 or June 20, 7-9 pm. Pre-registration is not required. There is no fee required for parents of students enrolled in CCHS Driver Education. The entire program consists of 30-hour classroom learning, 12 hours of behind-the-wheel training, 6 hours of in-car observation, and the parent class. The fee is $739, and it includes the RMV certification fee. Parents may pay in 2-3 installments if they wish. The Concord Players’ spring show, Amadeus, is a story of intrigue, murder and suspense around the life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
