CCHS Educational Trips and Exchanges

At CCHS, we believe that fostering 21st-century skills and a global mindset is essential for all students. By engaging with other cultures, we prepare students to thrive in an interconnected world. Educational travel, cultural exchanges, and volunteering in diverse settings help achieve these goals. Through immersive experiences, students gain new perspectives and a deeper appreciation for the world beyond CCHS.

The Ruettgers Enrichment Program

Founded in 1999 by Maureen and Michael Ruettgers, this program was established to honor the exceptional faculty at CCHS. The Ruettgers family believed their three children thrived at CCHS due to the high-quality teaching and the inspiration they found in their classrooms.

The Ruettgers Seminars:

A CCHS faculty member offers one seminar each semester on a subject not covered in the traditional CCHS curriculum, and about which they have great expertise.

Faculty click here for more information on how to propose a seminar.

Students must apply for enrollment. Accepted students earn 2.5 credits for attendance; the course meets for twelve 90-minute classes outside of the school day.

The Ruettgers Lectures:

Throughout the school year, CCHS faculty and staff present one-hour lectures on topics about which they are passionate.  Faculty click here to propose a Ruettgers Lecture.

Lectures take place after school. All members of the CCHS, Concord, Carlisle, and Boston communities are welcome to attend.
