What does 1:1 mean for CCHS?
In our 1:1 environment, all full-time students in grades 9-12 at CCHS will have an Apple laptop for use both at school and at home.
When will laptops be distributed?
Students will receive their laptops on the first day of school in their Advisory classroom, provided the Parent Laptop Release Form is signed.
What if the borrowed laptop, case, or charger is lost or damaged?
Students will be charged for any damage or loss due to negligence or intentional damage. Hardware failures covered by AppleCare will be repaired at no charge.
Can I get a damaged laptop repaired elsewhere?
All repairs must be conducted through the CCHS IT Department using an Apple Certified Repair Service.
Can non-Apple chargers be used?
Only Apple-certified chargers are acceptable for return at the end of the school year.
What if a student's laptop has a technical issues?
Students can visit the Learning Commons Help Desk during lunch, or Room 245 before or after school for assistance. In emergencies, Room 245 is available anytime.
What if a student's laptop is not working?
Students can borrow a laptop from IT (Room 245) while their device is being repaired. A Laptop Loan Agreement must be signed for borrowed laptops.
What should students do if their laptop needs charging during the day?
Students should bring their fully charged device and charger every day. It's recommended to label the charger to avoid loss. Extra chargers are not available during the school day.
Can students keep their laptops over the summer?
No, the borrowing program is designed for use during the school year only. Laptops need to be returned for maintenance and repairs over the summer.
