Spanish 3 is a yearlong course that emphasizes the continued development of basic speaking, reading, writing and listening skills.
You can expect to learn in diverse ways:
- Listening to examples of native speakers and Spanish music in the language lab
- Using the Internet to research cultural topics
- Writing short narratives or notes
- Reading a variety of authentic and adapted materials such as short stories, letters, emails, and articles
- Working alone, in small groups and with a partner
- Speaking only in Spanish with other members of your class
- Using the ActivBoard to participate in interactive learning games and activities
By the end of the year, you will be able to speak, read and write about:
- Travel and vacation •Doctor’s office; hospital emergencies
- Clothing and shopping •Daily routine
- Food and eating in a restaurant •Parties and celebrations
- Events that happened in the past •Technology
- City life •Houses, furniture, and chores
- Nature and the environment
