Spanish 3 is a yearlong course that emphasizes the continued development of basic speaking, reading, writing and listening skills.

 

You can expect to learn in diverse ways:

  • Listening to examples of native speakers and Spanish music in the language lab
  • Using the Internet to research cultural topics
  • Writing short narratives or notes
  • Reading a variety of authentic and adapted materials such as short stories, letters, emails, and articles
  • Working alone, in small groups and with a partner
  • Speaking only in Spanish with other members of your class
  • Using the ActivBoard to participate in interactive learning games and activities

 

By the end of the year, you will be able to speak, read and write about:

  • Travel and vacation                                                          •Doctor’s office; hospital emergencies
  • Clothing and shopping                                                    •Daily routine
  • Food and eating in a restaurant                                    •Parties and celebrations
  • Events that happened in the past                                 •Technology
  • City life                                                                               •Houses, furniture, and chores
  • Nature and the environment
