Household Goods receives donations of good quality furniture and
household items and gives those items away free of charge, to individuals
and families in need.

We are mostly staffed by volunteers and really need your help! Volunteers
are key to every aspect of the organization, and we have many
opportunities on Saturdays for student volunteers, including:

  • Client Assistance: Help our clients choose items, pack up boxes and
    bags, load vehicles
  • Donation Assistance: Greet donors, unload vehicles, sort and
    shelve donations.
  • Furniture Mover: Help keep the showroom floor stocked,
    load/unload vehicles.

Bilingual skills, especially Spanish and Portuguese a plus.

A regular schedule is ideal, but you can schedule your shifts around sports or academic commitments. You can volunteer individually or organize your shifts to come in and volunteer together with friends.
