NEW EVENTS

The Denmark Exchange Program for the 2017-2018 school year is now accepting applications. All CCHS students are welcome to apply. CCHS families will host a student from our Denmark sister school in October of 2017 and then travel to Denmark in April of 2018. An informational meeting will be held on Wednesday May 10th at 6pm at CCHS in Room 256, The Digital Art Lab. Inquiries may be sent to gcoan@concordcarlisle.org

Want to take part in a decades-old sister city and sister school relationship, to live with host families and to study Japanese history, language, anime and manga?  If so, then please come to our MANDATORY info session on TODAY, Tuesday, May 2 from 6:30-8:00pm at the CCHS Learning Commons. All students MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

CONTINUING EVENTS

Are you interested in trying out for the CCHS Cheerleading? Come to the first clinic on Thursday, May 4, 6-8 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room 104 and see what it takes to be part of this competitive fall team, tryouts will be in early June. Cheerleading is coed and all are welcome to attend these free clinics.

The Water Challenge is a two week long commitment to drink only water and save money on other drinks like coffee, tea, soda, or juice. The challenge goes from May 8-22. The money saved will then be donated to The Water Project to fund the organization to provide clean water to people in need. A donation of just $23 will allow one person to access drinking water. Click here for the link to sign up and receive your free bracelet for participating! Spamalot Tickets are on sale at www.ticketstage.com  $10 for students, seniors, and veterans and $17 for adults. Performances are May 11, 12 and 13 at 7pm, May 14 at 2pm. Patriot Basketball Summer Camps: Join CCHS Head Coach David Cohen and Assistant Coach Aaron Joncas for Patriot Basketball at Concord-Carlisle High School. Now in its 10th year, Patriot Basketball is staffed by the area’s top high school coaches and gives boys of all levels an opportunity to improve, compete and have fun! Community Service Opportunity:  High school volunteers needed to assist with coaching the town’s Babe Ruth baseball team for 7th & 8th graders.  Need 1 or 2 volunteers to help with skill development/drills on Wednesdays from 5-6pm at Emerson Field; may also need assistance with weekend games.  If interested, contact Rich at rich2004@msn.com.

Get fit this spring at the Thoreau School’s Annual Road Race, a community-wide celebration, Sunday, May 21!  Start training now! 5K and Kids’ Fun Runs (.5 and 1 mile) followed by fun food, games, bouncy house, awards and more.  Race, walk, jog or stroll, ALL are welcome!  9am Registration
