Starting Wednesday, March 8, freshman student government will be holding a freshman advisory food drive competition to collect food to donate to those in need. Bring in food to collection bags in your advisory room to have them counted. The advisory with the most food items donated at the end of the month will win a special prize of donuts for the next advisory!

Over the next two weeks Friends of Girls Lacrosse is sponsoring Conditioning Sessions for all Spring Athletes. The sessions are every Monday and Wednesday only in the Maroon Practice Gym from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM.
The CCHS PA would like to support one of our families in need. Recently a CCHS family had an unfortunate fire in their home and they are now working towards rebuilding their home. Please join the PA and donate any gift cards to help get them back on their feet. Suggested ideas are; TJ Max Home Goods, Target, Walmart, Best Buy. All students who plan to participate in a school spring sport must have a physical examination annually. The physical must be done and a copy of it must be on file with the health office. This needs to be done prior to participation in the sport, which includes practice and tryouts. All physical exams by Massachusetts State Law are only valid for 13 months from the date of the exam. Students who have a valid physical exam at the start of the season and the expiration date occurs during the season, become ineligible to participate on the date of expiration.
Friday, March 10, there is a mandatory meeting for all boys interested in playing tennis this Spring. The meeting will run from 2:45-3:30pm in room 332. Please review the Meeting Agenda.
Monday, March 13, at 2:45 p.m. there will be a badminton tournament in the gym. The CCTA is sponsoring this tournament to raise money in Nora Murphy’s name for Health Leads, a nonprofit that helps low-income patients get food, housing, and other resources essential to support their medical treatment and maintain good health. Faculty, staff, students, administrators, and school committee members are all invited to play and/or watch! See here for more details, to play sign up here! St. Patrick’s Day Senior Citizens Luncheon is Saturday, March 11 from 10-2 and we need student volunteers. Here is the link to the sign up. Students who volunteer will get community service hours.

Calling all skaters that play, played or think they can play hockey. The CCHS Hockey teams are looking for teachers and students who would like to play in a student/faculty hockey game on (NEW DATE) Thursday, March 16, 2017 at 3:40 PM at The Edge, the more the merrier. Games will be against HS senior players (Boys and Girls) and their classmates versus the faculty. This is something fun for the students and adults alike. Registration is now open for Concord-Carlisle Youth Soccer’s Girls and Boys U16 and U18 spring season. Teams are open to any player in 9th through 12th grade. The league plays games on Sundayafternoons beginning on April 23 and ending on June 11. There is no weekly practice. The registration fee is $90. The deadline for registration is Tuesday, March 14th. Concord Conservatory of Music Presents An Old-time and Americana Fiddling Workshop – please see the attached press release and share with your students! On Saturday, March 25, from 1:00 to 3:00 PM, CCM is presenting a hands-on old-time Americana music workshop led by Laura Cortese and Valerie Thompson, both from the band Laura Cortese and the Dance Cards. Players with at least two years of experience on violin, cello, guitar, banjo, double bass, or mandolin (and 8 years of age or older) are invited to bring their instruments to learn a few tunes by ear and join in an afternoon of traditional music-making.
