Cooler Concord Fair – Call for Volunteers Thank you to the CCHS Environmental Science Class, the Green Team, and the Photo and Film Classes for lending your expertise to help make this a great event.  We are seeking additional volunteers. Friday, December 9, at 7 pm, the CCHS Alpine Ski program will host a screening of Warren Miller’s 67th film, Here, There, and Everywhere, in the CCHS auditorium.  Tickets can also be purchased for $15 here: Click Here or from any ski team member, or $20 at the door.Ticket sales will directly go to the Youth Enrichment Services (YES) Foundation of Boston. The YES Foundation provides urban youth the chance to participate in outdoor activities such as skiing; the Ski Team’s goal is to raise enough money so that an entire bus of students will have the opportunity to ski.  In addition, all attendees will be given a free pass to Sugarbush Mountain in Warren, VT!

The Concord Free Public Library will be hosting a weekly Girls Who Code Club for girls in grades 6-12 beginning on January 11, 2017.  The club will meet on Wednesdays from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. at the Main Library, Concord, MA.  In preparation for the January launch, club instructors will be holding an information session next Wednesday, December 14 at 5:00 p.m. at the Fowler Branch Library, Concord, MA.  All interested girls are encouraged to attend.

Class of 2018 – All Juniors (students only) are scheduled to meet with their counselors all this week for the initial post-secondary planning process.  A letter was mailed home this past week with the meeting time. Hello Actors!!  Auditions for the 2017 CCHS Competitive One Act Play will be held December 13 and 14 with call backs on the 15th. We are looking to stage “The Company of Wolves” an unique and dark retelling of Little Red Riding Hood. If you google it and find a movie from the 80’s it’s not the same thing. Please Support the Red Cross Club with their “Gift Wrapping Relief Fundraiser” to help people in need of food and shelter. The collection box is in the main lobby for rolls of wrapping paper, bows, and ribbon.  We will use these supplies the last two weekends of December when the Red Cross Club will be gift wrapping at the Burlington Mall at the mall entrance of SEARS.

Announcing the Cooler Concord Fair – SAVE THE DATEHave you always wanted to save energy, but haven’t had the time to figure it all out and get it done?  Help is on the way! Concord and Carlisle Youth Holiday Gift Drive December 1-16 – CC Youth Services and CC Community Chest are teaming up again this year to collect donations of new, unwrapped gifts and toys for youth ages 0-16. The donated gifts will be distributed to eligible Concord, Carlisle and Metco youth and families. Items in high demand include bath and body products, board games, Boston sports team-themed merchandise, pajamas/robes/cozy socks, science kits, and action figures.
