Wednesday, November 23, the Boston Bus Routes 14 and 27, will run their morning route schedule for the afternoon bus ride home.  There will also be NO late buses running on Wednesday.

The Thanksgiving Day Football game is Thursday, November 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Bedford High SchoolPre-game ticket sales will be Tuesday, November 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 23 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Main Office.  Pre-game – $7 – Adults, $5 – StudentsALL tickets $10 game day. 

NEW EVENTS

CC weather services is excited to announce our balloon launch! The balloon will be sent up with weather instruments, student designed experiments, a mascot, and tokens for a CCHS fundraiser for Hurricane Matthew Haiti relief. It will go up 100,000 feet and be above 99% of our atmosphere!  Come watch our tethered launch in person at the CCHS upper turf on on Tuesday, November 29. The Concord Free Public Library has two programs that need student community service volunteersThursday, December 8 from 2:30- 4 pm at the Fowler Library to assemble graham cracker houses in preparation for a workshop.  Saturday, December 10 at Fowler Library at 1 pm to set up the decorations for the gingerbread house-decorating workshop.Interested? WIQH BROADCAST SCHEDULE FOR THANKSGIVING WEEK – Wednesday, November 23 first show of the day at 11:20, right after the spirit assembly. Can’t make it to the Thanksgiving Football Game at Bedford? No worries, WIQH will be broadcasting the game on air from 9:00 to Noon, followed by a special installment of “Third and Long”, a fantasy football talk show created by our very own Tucker Boynton and Scott Crosby. We will also be airing recordings of Band, Chorus and Orchestra Concerts for the rest of the day, for listen to during your Thanksgiving Dinner.  Tune into WIQH 88.3, CCHS’s very own radio station, for a feast of unique shows, concerts, football and more this Thanksgiving week. ATTENTION ALL SENIORS:  If you have a college deadline of January 1, the transcript request form is DUE NO LATER THAN Thursday, December 1.   Please pass all transcript requests into Mrs. Tessari’s office, Room 250. 

Attention CCHS Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors – Concord-Carlisle Community Connections, a program designed to pair CCHS students with active and retired Concord and Carlisle residents in a variety of career disciplines for a career-mentoring program, is back for its fourth year!  This program is offered during the second semester, students will get together with a mentor to discuss what it is like to run a business or be employed in a certain profession.  A few of the career choices that were represented in the last couple of years were: law, real estate, engineering, architecture, finance, property management, and commercial banking, among many others.  Please see the application (www.cchs-connections.org/apply) to see all the fields represented.  To learn more about the program or apply, please visit our website: www.cchs-connections.org.  If you have any further questions, please contact Mr. Wells (swells@concordcarlisle.org) or stop by his office (Room 209 in the Student Support area).

Food, Funds and Fun with Open Table on Thanksgiving Grab your family and friends on Thanksgiving morning for the 7th Annual Turkey Trot sponsored by Marx Running Store and Circle Furniture. This fun 5k starts at 8:30 sharp on Keyes Road in Concord and welcomes runners and walkers of all speeds. Registration opens at 7:30 am (preregister now at onyourmarxracing.com). Come with a pantry donation — cans of food or cash — and help us feed others as we enjoy this day of plenty. This is a fun family tradition — come join in the fun by volunteering if you don’t run. Screenagers: Growing Up in a Digital Age Wednesday, November 30 at 7pm – CCHS Auditorium Are you scrolling through life, with rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span? Come see SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in the Digital Age, a documentary about one of the biggest personal and parenting issues of our time.  Watch the movie trailer here.
