Winter sport registration is now open – All students wishing to participate in a winter sport must register prior to Nov. 21. http://www.familyid.com/concord-carlisle-high-school Updated physical must be on file in the nurse’s office prior to the first day of practice Nov. 28.

Baseball will be having a full program meeting after school on Monday, Nov. 21 in room 449 for anyone interested in playing this Spring

WIQH BROADCAST SCHEDULE FOR THANKSGIVING WEEK- Tuesday, November 22 we will have a live broadcast beginning at 10:30 from the CCHS cafeteria that will run up until our regular shows at 2:20.  Wednesday, November 23 first show of the day at 11:20, right after the spirit assembly. Can’t make it to the Thanksgiving Football Game at Bedford? No worries, WIQH will be broadcasting the game on air from 9:00 to Noon, followed by a special installment of “Third and Long”, a fantasy football talk show created by our very own Tucker Boynton and Scott Crosby. We will also be airing recordings of Band, Chorus and Orchestra Concerts for the rest of the day, for listen to during your Thanksgiving Dinner.  Tune into WIQH 88.3, CCHS’s very own radio station, for a feast of unique shows, concerts, football and more this Thanksgiving week. You’ll be thankful you did.

The Thanksgiving Day Football game is Thursday, November 24 at 10:00 a.m. at Bedford High School. Pre-game ticket sales will be Monday and Tuesday, November 21 and 22 from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and Wednesday, November 23 from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the Main Office. Pre-game – $7 – Adults, $5 – Students. ALL tickets $10 game day.

All Girls Lacrosse Players – There will be a sign up and informational meeting in room 121 @ 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22 for ALL girls interested in playing lacrosse in this spring.

ATTENTION ALL SENIORS:  If you have a college deadline of January 1, the transcript request form is DUE NO LATER THAN Thursday, December 1.   Please pass all transcript requests into Mrs. Tessari’s office, Room 250.

CONTINUING EVENTS

 Military Fair at CCHS: Tuesday, November 22 from 11:00-12:00 in the CCHS lobby. Interested in a military career or attending one of the Academies? Then this will be a good place to start finding out information. EVERYONE is invited and encouraged to stop by to show support of our troops. Please give them a warm welcome and our thanks. 

Attention CCHS Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors – Concord-Carlisle Community Connections, a program designed to pair CCHS students with active and retired Concord and Carlisle residents in a variety of career disciplines for a career-mentoring program, is back for its fourth year! This program is offered during the second semester, students will get together with a mentor to discuss what it is like to run a business or be employed in a certain profession.  A few of the career choices that were represented in the last couple of years were: law, real estate, engineering, architecture, finance, property management, and commercial banking, among many others.  Please see the application (www.cchs-connections.org/apply) to see all the fields represented. Positive Ways to Parent Your Teen:  Transitioning From Manager to Consultant  A three-session workshop series presented by Susan Lerner, MSW, LICSW through the Center for Parents and Teachers will take place on Monday evening, November 21 from 7 to 8:30 PM at Ripley Building.  PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. $45 for all three sessions. Please Click Here to register and full description of workshop.

Fireside Chat with Dropbox Founder Drew Houston: A Journey from Acton, MA to Silicon Valley – Tuesday, November 22, 7:00 to 9:00 pm. The Gallery at Villageworks, Acton Drew Houston is an American internet entrepreneur, born and raised in Acton, MA, best known for being the co-founder and CEO of Dropbox, an online backup and storage service. In a fireside chat with The Discovery Museums CEO Neil Gordon, learn about Drew’s journey from exploring his dad’s office as a kid to bringing his ideas to Silicon Valley, where he created one of the fastest growing tech companies. Food, Funds and Fun with Open Table on Thanksgiving Grab your family and friends on Thanksgiving morning for the 7th Annual Turkey Trot sponsored by Marx Running Store and Circle Furniture. This fun 5k starts at 8:30 sharp on Keyes Road in Concord and welcomes runners and walkers of all speeds. Registration opens at 7:30 am (preregister now at onyourmarxracing.com). Come with a pantry donation — cans of food or cash — and help us feed others as we enjoy this day of plenty. This is a fun family tradition — come join in the fun by volunteering if you don’t run. Screenagers: Growing Up in a Digital Age Wednesday, November 30 at 7pm – CCHS Auditorium Are you scrolling through life, with rapid-fire thumbs and a six-second attention span? Come see SCREENAGERS: Growing Up in the Digital Age, a documentary about one of the biggest personal and parenting issues of our time.
