NEW EVENTS

CCHS TENNIS CLUB – November 9 & 16 at the CCHS Tennis Courts at 2:45 PM – 4:15.

Parents – This spring, some seniors will be participating in an internship program coordinated by Babson College, which runs from the end of April until the end of May.  More specific information about the program can be found here.  If you are interested in hosting an intern, please fill out this form.

CONTINUING EVENTS 

All Sophomores are scheduled to meet with their guidance counselors through November 9. A letter was mailed home with the appointment time. If you can’t find the letter please click here.

Seniors – We will be having a mandatory informational session about this spring’s internship program for any senior interested in participating.  Whether you have already signed up or not, please plan to meet in the Learning Commons on Wednesday, November 16 at 2:30pm.

THANKSGIVING DONATIONS AND VOLUNTEERS NEEDEDOur CCHS community is once again pleased to be hosting a traditional Thanksgiving meal for senior citizens from Concord and Carlisle on Saturday November 19.  Parents can support this beloved event by donating a turkey or cider, by making a financial gift, and/or by volunteering to work at the luncheon. The CCHS Kitchen Staff will be accepting frozen turkey donations immediately. Strategies for Reducing Academic Stress & Creating Successful Students: Executive Function Workshop (Free) – Wednesday, November 9, 2016, 7:00-8:30 pm, CCHS Learning Commons. Learn strategies to help your child better manage his/her nightly homework, including planning, organizational, and time management strategies. Please join Dan Levine and Melissa Wilson of Engaging Minds for a free workshop designed specifically for parents of students in grades 5-12, though open to any parent whose student can benefit. For planning purposes, an RSVP is appreciated but not required: Strategies for Reducing Academic Stress. Please join SEPAC for refreshments between 6:30-7pm. 5K and 1M Road Race Friday, November 11 for all ages hosted by the Carlisle Council on Aging with help from the Carlisle Veterans Committee and support from the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest. Seeking Representatives for the Superintendent Search Committee.  The CCHS Parents Association has been charged by the Concord Carlisle Regional School Committee to select 1 parent from Concord and 1 parent from Carlisle to serve on the Superintendent Search Committee. Food, Funds and Fun with Open Table on Thanksgiving Grab your family and friends on Thanksgiving morning for the 7th Annual Turkey Trot sponsored by Marx Running Store and Circle Furniture. This fun 5k starts at 8:30 sharp on Keyes Road in Concord and welcomes runners and walkers of all speeds. Registration opens at 7:30 am (preregister now at onyourmarxracing.com). Come with a pantry donation — cans of food or cash — and help us feed others as we enjoy this day of plenty. This is a fun family tradition — come join in the fun by volunteering if you don’t run.
