If you have a college deadline for November 15, the Transcript Request form is DUE NO LATER THAN Friday, October 21. Please drop all transcript requests in Mrs. Tessari’s office, Room 250.
Food Drive – The Student Government is running a food drive from October 17-28! Please leave cans of food in the box in the 2nd floor entryway with you advisor’s name on it. The advisory that brings in the most cans will receive a prize!
Get creative!! Join our Halloween Coloring Contest in the Learning Commons. Winner will receive a prize! Contest ends on Thursday, October 27.
INSTRUMENTAL FALL CONCERT Please join us for the CCHS Band and Orchestra’s first concert of the year! The Fall Concert will be on Thursday, October 27th at 7pm, in the auditorium. The program will feature the CCHS Orchestra, Jazz A, Repertory Band and Concert Band. We will also be raffling off 2 (two) fantastic seats for the December 4th Patriots game vs. the Rams. 7th row seats! Admission is free and all are welcome!
Join the Concord-Carlisle Squash Club (CCSC)! No matter your skill level. To learn about our Squash Club please come to an informational meeting on 10/25 in room 316 at 2:15. The season runs from 11/28-2/28. The practices will take on Monday, Tuesday, after school and Saturday morning at the Concord Acton Squash Club. There is a bus available after school to the club, but no return bus. The club is limited to 20 participants. Please contact pgoar@concordcarlisle.org with any questions.

Senior portraits and baby/youth pictures are due October 28! If you are experiencing a financial hardship and purchasing senior portraits or a yearbook is difficult, please contact Ms. Wozniak. HOBY: Each year CCHS sends several students from the Sophomore class to the Hugh O’Brien Youth State Leadership Seminar. HOBY’s flagship program, the State Leadership Seminar (LS) is designed to help high school sophomores to recognize their leadership talents and apply them to become effective, ethical leaders in their home, school, workplace and community. Swim Meet — 10th Annual Concord-Carlisle Masters Mini-Meet will be held on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at the Beede Aquatic Center in Concord, MA. This Master Mini-Meet is a fundraiser hosted by the Friends of Concord-Carlisle High School Swim and Dive Team to raise money to support the 2016-17 swim season. This is a low-key event open to any experienced masters swimmers, first time competitors, coaches, teachers and parents! Participants choose from 12 different races ranging from the 50m Butterfly to the 400m Freestyle and can enter up to 5 events. Warm-ups begin at 7:45 am. The SAT, the ACT, and the Changing Landscape of Admissions Testing Gleason Public Library, Carlisle, MA; Thursday, Nov. 3, 7 pm As if the landscape of college admissions was not overwhelming enough, the SAT and PSAT have undergone a dramatic overhaul. By addressing the new question types, the new scoring system, and the new and existing alternatives to the SAT, this class will provide families with the information that they need to make wise decisions as they approach the testing and admissions process. Attendees will receive a variety of materials relating to the new test, including sample questions from the new test as well as sample sections of alternatives, such as the ACT. What are you doing on the next day off? 5K and 1M Road Race Friday, November 11 for all ages hosted by the Carlisle Council on Aging with help from the Carlisle Veterans Committee and support from the Concord-Carlisle Community Chest. The 1-mile race begins at 9 a.m. In Carlisle Town Center followed by the 5K at 9:45, rain or shine. Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome in either or both race. Free tech/performance type race T-shirts will be given to participants while supplies last. Pre-registration entry fees range start at $15 but go up to $25 on race day (tax and processing fee extra). Alcott Monster Mash – Friday October 28th 6-8pm, CCHS Volunteers Needed! Calling all CCHS students to help out with the Alcott Monster Mash in a variety of capacities!
