COMMUNITY EVENTS

Concord Conservatory presents Newpoli Concert, Friday, Oct. 7t  The Concord Conservatory of Music (CCM) begins its Faculty Concerts on Friday, October 7th at 7 pm when it presents the group NEWPOLI. Please join us for NEWPOLI’S energizing and exciting musical and dance performance.  Newpoli, with CCM Guitar Faculty member, Björn Wennås, carries on a tradition that is so old it is hard to date, performing music from the South of Italy laced with influences from the surrounding Mediterranean cultures. Originals are mixed with exciting arrangements of traditional music, the tempo is high, and the drama and passion in their blood can be heard in every note! The instrumental repertoire is rich with mandola, guitars, accordion, bass, strings, oud, drums, and wind instruments. The minstrel-like melodies and playfulness to the songs represents a historical presence in a contemporary world.   To hear their music and read about their unique and vivacious style, visit: http://www.newpolimusic.com/  Tickets are available at the door for $20 for adults, students under 18 years old for $5.  To buy tickets online go to www.ConcordConservatory.org and for more information, call 978-369-0010, or email info@ConcordConservatory.org.  The Concord Conservatory of Music is located in the West Concord Union Church at 1317 Main Street in Concord.
