The Red Cross Club will be having sign-ups on Today, September 20. The American Red Cross Club invites all students to join and help those in need. We plan community service projects, fundraisers, and yearly blood drives to benefit people in our community and beyond. Community service hours are available. We will meet on Mondays at 2:20 in room 305.
September 23 is CCHS’s Annual Pink Dance! All proceeds to benefit the
Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. In the cafeteria 8:00 to 10:30 students can come after the football game. Tickets are $10 beforehand and $15 at the door. Students must make sure to bring their Student ID for identification. Be sure to wear pink! Buy Tickets Here

Do you want to take advantage of an amazing opportunity to live and study for one month in Hokkaido, Japan? Apply for the 2017 William Wheeler Exchange! Each year, one student from Nanae High School will come to live in Concord, Carlisle or Boston and attend classes at CCHS for the month of September. In turn, one CCHS student will travel to Nanae in July (which is still part of the Japanese school year) to live and study there for a month. We are now accepting applications for that CCHS student, and will be doing so until October 3 (sorry, no extensions). Juniors and Sophomores – Registration for the PSATs is now available. We are using a new registration service this year, Total Registration, which can be found at this linkPSAT registration fee will be $35. Please follow the directions online for payment information and do not send payments to the school. Please keep in mind that, should you qualify for them, any testing accommodations need to be applied for with Mr. Rudmann in the Guidance Office. Should you fail to apply with Mr. Rudmann you will not be receiving any testing accommodations at the time of the exam. Registration will close at 10/07/16 at 7:00 PM.

The election speeches are on Wednesday, 9/21 and the online voting ballot will be open from Wednesday, 9/21–Sunday, 9/25. Teach Our Youth Science (TOYS) club is having their first general membership meeting on Wed Sept 21st 2:30pm to 3:15pm in room 441. Is your child interested in the Performing Arts? Please come to an informational meeting with CCPOPS members, and meet CCHS arts faculty: David Gresko, Deborah Smith, and Carly Dwyer. Learn about this year’s performance opportunities in instrumental music, chorus, and theater, and how you and your student(s) can get involved with various productions both on-stage and behind the scenes. No experience is necessary! 7PM on September 21 in the CCHS Library Learning Commons.
2Volunteer announces that the fall deadline for the Presidential Service Awards is September 30, 2016. Students who qualify for an award will receive notification to their school email address by October 15th and receive the actual award at Class Act Award Night in the spring. Apply for the prestigious Fall Ruettgers Seminar! Exploring Latin America through Cooking and Culture (2.5 Course Credits) Hands-on cooking of amazing food from different countries of Latin America. Enjoy a variety of Latin music, history and geography, and dancing! Submit a one-page written or visual statement about your interest in Latin American culture to Sra. Cahill or Dr. Loprete. SAVE THE DATE!! Saturday, September 24 – Kicks for Cancer
Please come to the 10th Annual Kicks For Cancer (KFC) All Day Event. Raising funds for Dana Farber Cancer Institute – Women’s Cancer Research. There will be twelve local schools participating in ten full length games. 20 soccer teams! 16 Varsity, 4 Junior Varsity, girls and boys teams will play. The CCHS Varsity girl’s field hockey team will play at 11:00, “Sticks For Cancer”. KFC has raised $226,127 in nine years for Dana Farber, in 2015 alone we raised $44,940. This year we have set the goal of raising $50,000! Watch for more information on games times and how to donate on-line.
Come sing with us! Join the Carlisle Community Chorus for our Fall season! We are a multi-town ensemble for singers in middle school through adult, and are looking forward to diving into Vivaldi’s Gloria, as well as some fun and seasonal favorites. No experience is necessary – we are a social, light-hearted, non-auditioned, multigenerational ensemble. Try us out during open rehearsals on Monday, September 19, in the Carlisle Public School community room from 7:00-8:45 pm.
