The Community Chest is looking for nominations for its Volunteer Service Award. The award is given for outstanding volunteerism in the field of human services. Nominees must have a minimum of 10 volunteer hours performed between June 1, 2015 and April 1, 2016. Applications are available on the Community Chest website: www.cccommunitychest.org and must be submitted no later than TODAY, April 11, 2016. Hudson/Concord Elks Scholarship 2016 The local chapter of the Hudson/Concord Elks Scholarship applications are available in the Guidance Office. There are 2 principal factors taken into consideration in awarding these scholarships, one factor, which carries the most weight, concerns the promise of success in school or college. The second part is that of financial need on the part of the applicant. Deadline to TODAY, April 11, 2:15 pm. NO exceptions. Remember to ask Mrs. Tessari for your transcript ASAP.

Albert B. & Evelyn H. Black Fund: Bank of America serves as Trustee for this account and offers the scholarship each year to past and present students of Concord-Carlisle High School. Applicants can receive up to $3,000 in any academic year and up to $7,500 total. They must be in the top half of their high school class or in good academic standing at their graduate institution. The Trustee will select recipients on the basis of academic record, financial need and general appearance of the scholarship application. The Trustee will give strong consideration to the essay questions (Part III) and to the accuracy and orderliness of answers to questions of fact (Part I and II). Need some help with spring clean up? On Saturday, April 30 (Rain date May 1st), the CCHS baseball teams will hold their annual workday. The players will rake, haul, spread mulch and perform light yard work for residents of Concord and Carlisle. The fee is $15 per player per hour and all proceeds go to the CCHS Baseball program. The shifts are from

April Recess – CCHS Driver Education class Students who will be 16 years old by July 18th of this year may enroll in the April class, 30 hours of RMV-required classroom. It meets Monday to Friday, April 18-22, 9 am to 3:30 pm each day. Behind-the-wheel instruction begins when a student obtains her/his Learner Permit; lessons are individually scheduled seven days a week throughout the year. Transition Planning Workshop – Now is the time for High School Students on an IEP to start planning for their future! SEPAC Seeking Volunteer Liaisons for Each School The Concord Public School and Concord-Carlisle Regional School District Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is looking for liaisons to represent each school in our district. The role of the SEPAC liaison is to represent the SEPAC at various events, help connect parents to the resources SEPAC offers, stay abreast of school happenings, and share information about their school with the SEPAC Board. Seeking Volunteers for the Concord Integrated Preschool (CIPS) Working Committee The Concord Public School and Concord-Carlisle Regional School District Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is looking for volunteers to serve on their CIPS Working Committee. This committee will study various aspects of the CIPS so as to provide recommendations to the Concord Public School on matters pertaining to the Concord Integrated Preschool.
