Need some help with spring clean up? On Saturday, April 30 (Rain date May 1st), the CCHS baseball teams will hold their annual workday. The players will rake, haul, spread mulch and perform light yard work for residents of Concord and Carlisle. The fee is $15 per player per hour and all proceeds go to the CCHS Baseball program. The shifts are from 9 am – 12 pm and 1-4 pm, with a minimum of 2 players per 3-hour shift. The Community Chest is looking for nominations for its Volunteer Service Award. The award is given for outstanding volunteerism in the field of human services. Nominees must have a minimum of 10 volunteer hours performed between June 1, 2015 and April 1, 2016. Applications are available on the Community Chest website: www.cccommunitychest.org and must be submitted no later than April 11, 2016.
CCHS is celebrating the diversity among its student body on April 14! That night, there will be a culminating ethnic/cultural potluck dinner in the cafeteria. CCHS students and their families have the chance to showcase the cuisine and customs of their heritage. Transition Planning Workshop – Now is the time for High School Students on an IEP to start planning for their future! SEPAC Seeking Volunteer Liaisons for Each School The Concord Public School and Concord-Carlisle Regional School District Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is looking for liaisons to represent each school in our district. The role of the SEPAC liaison is to represent the SEPAC at various events, help connect parents to the resources SEPAC offers, stay abreast of school happenings, and share information about their school with the SEPAC Board. Seeking Volunteers for the Concord Integrated Preschool (CIPS) Working Committee The Concord Public School and Concord-Carlisle Regional School District Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC) is looking for volunteers to serve on their CIPS Working Committee. This committee will study various aspects of the CIPS so as to provide recommendations to the Concord Public School on matters pertaining to the Concord Integrated Preschool. Meetings will take place outside of school hours and the committee will serve from April 2016-April 2017. We are in need of volunteer representatives and are looking for someone to represent the Concord community. Annual Nick Ressler Blood Drive on April 9 You can make a difference on Saturday, April 9 by donating blood at the annual Nick Ressler Blood Drive. In 2001, 300+ community members and CCHS students rolled up their sleeves for Nick, and due to the generous donors at the annual Nick Ressler Blood Drives over the past 15 years, more than 2000 individuals have been given the gift of more time with their friends and families. The Massachusetts General Hospital Bloodmobile will be at Hunt Recreation Center, 90 Stow Street on Saturday, April 9 from 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM. New donors are welcome…you must be 16 years old (with parental permission) or older to donate. All donors receive a Boston Strong t-shirt!
