Welcome to Rivers and Revolutions
Rivers and Revolutions is an interdisciplinary, place-based program that offers CCHS students the opportunity to pursue rigorous, hands-on, experiential learning outside the traditional classroom environment. Throughout the semester students engage in fieldwork and community-facing projects as they consider different ways of understanding and engaging with the world, create connections between seemingly disparate things, and explore links between the content and their own lives.
The program runs every block except for A and B blocks, allowing students to continue their world language studies, complete full-year math or science courses, fulfill Health and Fitness requirements, or take other courses from the mainstream curriculum. Students have a lunch break in the middle of the day and finish their studies at the end of the regular school day. Participation in the program does not interfere with athletics or co-curricular activities.
