Unit 4: Social Psychology

Social psychology is the study of how individuals think, feel, and behave in social situations.  Each of us is influenced significantly by those around us, which is what we will study in this unit.  That study includes how we make judgments about the behavior of ourselves and of others, how and why we conform and alter our behavior in response to others, how the perception of authority impacts decisions we make, how the presence of others helps or hurts one's performance, and what all of this means for how society functions.  Students usually find this unit very interesting, and I hope you will, too!
