Honors Chem

Honors Chemistry is designed to challenge students and promote critical thinking, analytical group discussion and independent work.  It is expected that students will show a serious approach to mastering the discipline by keeping up with the assigned work.  The ideas of chemistry will be approached with an emphasis on practical applications through lab work, demonstrations and models.  Quantitative analysis and problem solving will require students to have a working knowledge of Algebra – completion of, or concurrent enrollment in, Honors Algebra II is strongly required. Students are expected to actively participate in class, lab and online, working together cooperatively with a high degree of respect for each other.  Students who work hard and apply themselves will have a rewarding and enjoyable experience in science this year.
